The 8C name carries real weight at Alfa Romeo. In the 1930s it belonged to the cars that won at Le Mans and the Mille Miglia, and for decades it went unused. The 8C Competizione brought it back in 2007. It was a limited-production coupé built to remind the world what Alfa Romeo was capable of, and it remains one of the most admired Italian cars of its generation.

Wolfgang Egger and the Centro Stile team gave it a classic front-engined silhouette: a long bonnet, a tightly drawn cabin and a muscular rear, all in carbon fibre. Underneath is a Maserati-built chassis, and up front sits a Ferrari-built 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 450 horsepower. With the gearbox mounted at the rear, the car is as rewarding to drive as it is to look at.

Only 500 coupés were built, and just 70 were delivered new to Japan. This is one of them. It has covered 14,100 kilometres from new and has a service history covering its whole life. It’s finished in Rosso Competizione over grey leather. That’s the colour Alfa Romeo chose to launch the car in, and for many collectors it’s the definitive 8C specification.

Since joining the Tomini collection in 2024, the car has been maintained by Al Tayer Motors, the authorised Alfa Romeo service centre in Dubai. It received a major service on arrival, followed by annual services in 2025 and 2026.

In its signature colour, with modest mileage and full documented history, this is an outstanding example of one of Alfa Romeo’s great modern collector cars.
