Founded in 1860 as Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG, TAG Heuer has long been synonymous with the world of motoring. Patenting the first dashboard chronograph in 1911, Heuer reached its peak in the 1960’s and 1970’s, with all-time classic timepieces like the Heuer Carrera, the Heuer Autavia, Heuer Camaro, and the Heuer Monaco, in collaboration with Breitling and Hamilton. In 1985 it was acquired by TAG (Techniques d’Avant Garde) and became TAG Heuer. Later, in 1999, the company was sold to LVMH and has remained one of their mid-segment luxury brands to date.
This particular watch was sold new at the Bic Camera department store in Japan in 1999. The watch is in good original condition and keeps accurate time; it comes accompanied by its original leather case, soft box, manuals, and warranty card.
