In 1926, Ettore Bugatti decided to gift his son with a half-size replica of the famous Bugatti Type 35 racecar. The birthday gift was powered by an electric motor, and became very popular with the brand’s clients, who quickly started requesting additional ‘Bugatti Babies’ for their own children.
To celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Bugatti, the brand commissioned The Little Car Company in the UK to build a 500-car run of 75% scale “Baby II” models. These cars came with a myriad of options and several trim levels: base (in fibreglass), Vitesse (in carbon fibre), and Pur Sang (in aluminium), with ‘speed keys’ alla Veyron/Chiron for the latter two. With the exception of USA models, these two higher trims can reach a speed of almost 70kmph.
Tomini Classics has the pleasure to be part of Bugatti’s brand heritage in presenting one of these 500 limited cars, configured as a ROW French Racing Blue Vitesse model. Accompanied with its factory accessories —including its speed key—, this Baby II is in brand new condition and ready to become a family heirloom with young and old.
Important notes worthy of consideration: this electric Bugatti has adjustable pedals and can sit both children and adults, but is not legal for road use in the Emirates —only track/private use. Due to its powerful acceleration and high speed for its size and weight, we advise users to start their experience in the ‘Novice’ mode, and work their way to higher speeds. Tame and cute as it looks, it is not for the faint of heart!
