Created to meet homologation in order to allow Ferrari to enter Group B rally, the GTO was the first Ferrari to hit 400 horsepower and the first turbocharged production Ferrari. The “288” usually added to the name is unofficial, but commonly used to distinguish it from the 250 GTO.
This example is amongst the lowest mileage 288 GTO’s in the world, and was originally owned by a revered comedian from the United States.
