After the discontinuation of the Morgan Plus 8 in 2018, a new Morgan model was presented to the public at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show: the Morgan Plus Six. The new ‘CX’ platform, as Morgan calls it, is based on a bonded aluminium frame 100% more rigid than its predecessor, without sacrificing the lineup’s traditional look.
Built by hand in Malvern (Worcestershire, UK), all Morgan cars are still crafted using traditional methods and materials, including the world-famous ash wood structure under each car’s aluminium skin. Each Plus Six can be configured in a myriad of bespoke colours and finishes, with additional options such as sports exhaust and a fibreglass hardtop.
Performance-wise, the Plus Six puts out 335bph and can achieve a top speed of 267 kilometres per hour; accelerating to 100kmph in 4.2 seconds. With a dry weight slightly over a thousand kilos, the Plus Six is guaranteed to deliver thrills in a genuinely British package, with the enhanced performance, sophistication and reliability of a BMW B58 straight-six engine and an 8-speed ZF gearbox.
This delivery-mileage 2021 model is finished in Sport Green over a Rich Tan interior with British Blue piping. Union Jack badges, a full build record book, and a sports exhaust are some of the special options in this Dubai-delivered example.
