Pioneering in 1967 after the Vallelunga, the DeTomaso Mangusta was conceived as a new generation of Ford-powered supercars in the new brand’s lineage.
The Mangusta sported groundbreaking styling by Ghia, a 289cu Ford V8 engine, and gullwing doors for its engine compartment. Out of the 401 examples that were built, only 250 are believed to survive.
This European-specification example is one of 150 built and has recently completed a full restoration lasting nearly 2 years.
