The first generation 911 was a vast improvement over its predecessor, the 356. There were not only significant changes in the styling, but the more powerful motor and vastly improved suspension meant that the 911 was a true thoroughbred, ideal for road and racing use.
This example is one of the first 911’s to be delivered to the United States, back in 1965. At the turn of the millennium, Dr. Mac Davis, esteemed Volkswagen collector, acquired this early example in 2004, and commissioned Trey Harrison to undertake a 3 year restoration.
In its current state, it is a superlative driver needing nothing to be part of your garage.
