Popularised by the TV show “The Avengers”, the Elan combined sporty handling, a nimble body, and a 1.5L Ford-sourced engine, modified by Harry Mundy to DOHC form. Following Colin Chapman’s “minimum weight” philosophy, it soon proved popular for its arresting looks and balanced steering.

This example features knock-off wheels, power brakes, and upgraded performance thanks to its D Camshaft and 10.3 compression. With little over 6,000 miles this car is in original, unrestored condition.
