Launched in late 1975 as a successor of the curvaceous E-Type, the XJS kept its predecessors’ V12 powerplant while sporting a more distinguished, yet muscular look. Its gentlemanly demeanour earned it multiple TV cameos in ‘The New Avengers’ and ‘The Return of the Saint’, epitomising the new face of British grand touring.
