The Ferrari 575M (‘M’ for ‘Modificata’) was conceived as a replacement for the 550 Maranello, and featured multiple changes in interior, weight distribution, braking, aerodynamics, headlamps and suspension. The superior driving experience was accompanied by a bump in horsepower, with 30 horsepower more (508hp) than the 550 Maranello until 2005, and 25 more (533hp) from 2005 to the end of production in 2006, when it was replaced by the 599 GTB.
A small batch of 559 ‘Superamerica’ models was made on the 575 base, featuring a unique folding electrochromic roof controlled with a dial in the passenger cabin. A special HGTE handling package and a manual gearbox (43 built) were optional in the Superamerica model.
This eye-catching Giallo example presents beautifully, and has covered less than 5,000 kilometres from new.
